This panels are covered on both sides with wood veneers. Before the strips of pressed veneers are applied to the raw panel (blokboard, multiply or plywood), they are jointed together with long-grain and cross-grain glue stripes. The veneer thickness is normally 0.6 mm.

These panels are suitable for high quality cabinet-making articles, furniture, doors, wardrobles etc. They may be used in whole or in sections; they are the only real alternative to high-cost solid wood.
